Peg and Tim Pinckard's RV Travels

Come travel with us!

We are Tim and Peg Pinckard and have been married for 37 years.  We have two beautiful daughters and 4 grandchildren.  In June 2006 we sold our 3000 sq ft home and bought a 2006 35 ½ ft  Hitchhiker 5th wheel.  We left Connecticut on June 30, 2006 and have traveled for the last 7 months enjoying every minute.  We will be going back and forth across the county as we have one daughter in connecticut and one in California.  What better way to see them as we wish.  We always dreamed of doing this – we always camped and loved seeing this country.  Tim spent 20 years in the military and we got to see so much of this beautiful country.  We camped across the United States back in 1974 and had so many wonderful memories that we wanted to make this a part of our lives in retirement.  Come and enjoy our travels with us.

Well I did not get pictures of the second and third campgrounds, but we will be back to the second one shortly and I will get it then. The third stop as my wife said "It is not worth pictures, just a place to park for one night".

This was NOT a planned stop, we had planned to stop at a Passport campground, but the directions resulted in an industral park and a lost 30 min. So we need to stop for the night, at the same exit we tried a resort that was rated ver good, but that must have been a long time ago. We got there and the entrance was rundown, no one to check in with,  so we did a quick about face and went to this campground, NOT our first choice. Not the best but gave us full hookups and very good neighbors.

I had forgotten that all places are not smoke free, and was greeted by the smell of cigarette smoke during sign in, could not wait to get out of there.

They did have a swimming pool

and pull through sites, the even sites you pull through to the left for the odd ones you had to go all the way around and pull through to the left it was a oneway circle. All side by side hook ups.

Our site not too bad

I for one was happy to hit the road, no desire for a two day stay.
