Boston June 17-18, 2006

Brother Jeff let us know that he would be in Boston for the week of 19 June, and was thinking of arriving on Saturday and wondered if we could meet him for the weekend. We decided it would be great to get away from the stress of selling the house and splurge on a weekend. We used our points to get two rooms for Saturday and Sunday night at the Marriott Long Wharf, right in the middle of it all. Saturday ended up being a very long day, I decided to pick Jeff up at the airport.  Yes that was a dumb idea  His flight was delayed almost 3 hours, so we spent a little over  5 hours waiting. Could of and should have left, but all the information we could get was that the flight was “Delayed”, untill when.  Airports are not a very pleasant place to spend most of a day, but it was all worth it, Jeff arrived and the fun began. After checking in to the hotel, our first go to place was the Quincy Market. A short two blocks walk.  The first thing we saw was the horse-drawn carriages. Oh – by the way this was a case of the blind leading the blind, as none of us had ever been to Boston – Peg had been to Fenway Park and the Prudential Center about 40 years ago.
