September 2013

Our two weeks in Hilton Head at Surf Watch was just heavenly.  Our daughter from California flew in with her family for a week and we had such a nice time enjoying our grandchildren and children.

We went to Sea Pines and enjoyed dinner at the Wreck of a Salty Dog.  After dinner we took in a few shops and enjoyed the nice fresh salty air.  The area we went to is called South Beach Marina Village.  Really cool area to visit.

One weekend while in Hilton Head both our daughters were here.  That is the first time in 5 years that we were all together.  So nice that the grandchildren got to visit with each other.  We did miss our oldest grandson but work and girlfriend were new priorities.

The day we left Hilton Head we had another tire go – thank goodness for Coach Net cuz they come out and change the tire for you.  We also were lucky that we were close to a service area so out of the main traffic of I-95.

We stopped at the RV place to get our air conditioner fixed  and lo and behold we had the wrong part.  Yikes it is hot and the main air is gone – thank goodness that we have two air conditioners and they will supply the whole camper.

While in Charleston we celebrated Makenzie’s, our grandchild,  7th birthday with dinner out and ice cream to follow.

Tim started therapy for his problem while in Hilton Head and he seemed to get the pain under control.

One Sunday we tried a new church with Susan and the girls.  It was pretty nice but Seacoast is still my favorite.  After church we went to Memorial Waterfront Park.  They have a 1250 foot long pier, playground, gift shop, and wonderful view of Charleston Harbor.  The girls enjoyed the playground and we enjoyed watching them.

Tim had cataract surgery this month and I started having dizzy spells.  They come and go and are driving me crazy.

Gracie, our youngest granddaughter, turned 4 this month also.  We were not able to celebrate with her but talked on the phone.  She is such a delight to talk with.

On the 25th I celebrated my 67th Birthday with a trip downtown Charleston.  We walked all around, went in shops, had a drink on the pier, sat and watched the boats sailing by and then had a wonderful dinner outside on the patio at 82 Queen Street.  Great Birthday!
